About Armando Zatarain (your Orange County Private Detective)

Armando Zatarain is a local Orange County Private Detective and a licensed Private Investigator in the State of California. He is a Newport Beach PI serving all of Southern California. This includes Los Angeles, San Diego, Riverside and the Inland Empire (San Bernardino County).

Zatarain began his career as a uniformed police officer. He remained so for thirteen of his twenty five years in law enforcement. He was employed by the Stanton Police Department (Orange County, California) as well as the Newport Beach Police Department (Orange County, California).

Following his work in uniform, Zatarain was employed by the California Department of Justice as a Special Agent. During the twelve years he served, Zatarain conducted criminal investigations of many individuals and organizations. The cases he was involved with involved hundreds or sometimes thousands of hours of surveillance, both fixed and moving.

Zatarain worked and completed cases with the FBI, US Customs, ATF, DEA and numerous state and local agencies. His ability to both work and network with other individuals and other agencies has been his trademark. He has also performed work in an undercover capacity on many occasions and speaks Spanish fluently.

He has experience working cases involving insurance fraud and worker's compensation fraud. He knows the importance of documentation both written and videotape, and he has testified hundreds of times in State and Federal courts. Zatarain is licensed to carry a concealed weapon.
